About the organization of the 2021 Young Scholars Workshop
The Young Scholars Workshop aims to provide its participants with ample opportunities of interaction and exchange of ideas on research topics in the area of labour migration. To this end, each participant will be asked to present not their own work, but rather another participant’s insight.
The Workshop will therefore start with a plenary session which will include all participants.
After a brief introduction by the organizers, participants will be divided in groups and automatically sent to breakout rooms (each coordinated by a chair) to start the discussion.
Each participant will be allocated 5 – 8 minutes to present another participant’s insight, and to present his or her views on it.
The author of the insight will then be allocated 2 – 3 minutes to respond.
After all the insight have been presented, the discussion will be open to the other participants to the breakout room for further questions and observations.
At the end of the Workshop, each participant will have had the opportunity to engage in a discussion concerning his or her insight and to present another participants’ work.
